Schedule

The workshop is hands-on and conducted in English. It moves through five blocks, from framing to collaborative work. Times in the schedule below are approximate until the conference programme is final.

  • 9:00–9:45
    Rationale and prior findings

Motivation for this research, and the completed analysis of the kinds of questions asked across the history of LA, as an example of what the dataset affords.

  • 9:45–10:45
    Dataset walkthrough

You get access to the dataset, and a guided tour of what data is available, how it is structured, and known limitations.

  • 10:45–11:00
    Coffee break

  • 11:00–12:30
    Small-group question forming

In small groups, brainstorm and discuss ideas for future research based on the data. We help you scope questions against what the dataset can and cannot support.

  • 12:30–13:30
    Lunch break

  • 13:30–15:30
    Group formation and collaborative work

Regroup around the ideas developed in the small-group sessions and work on a chosen idea for the remainder of the workshop.

  • 15:30–15:45
    Coffee break

  • 15:45–17:00
    Synthesis and commitments

Groups share what they found and what needs follow-up. We close by identifying concrete next steps, including routes to LAK or JLA submissions.
